PROCLAMATION NO. 737

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 8 TO 14, 2004 AS NATIONAL DANCE SPORT WEEK

WHEREAS, the Dance Sport Council of the Philippines, Inc. (DSCPI) is the national sport association duly accredited by the International Olympic Committee;

WHEREAS, the DSCPI in its desire to promote and further develop dance sport in the country, is staging the 2004 Southeast Asian Games Selection Competition on November 12, 2004 and the & DSCPI National Dance Sport Championship on November 13, 2004, both at the Multi-Purpose Arena, Philsports Complex, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City; and

WHEREAS, the holding of these two (2) events .will gather dance sport champions locally and from the different countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 8 to 14, 2004 as “Wational Dance Sport Week”.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
