BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 750

DECLARING THE MONTH OF JULY, 1991 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER, AS "KABISIG HOUSING MONTH"

WHEREAS, the government recognizes the vital role of housing and urban development in generating economic activity and promoting the general well-being of the people;

WITEREAS, the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) is tasked to coordinate the government's housing program;

WIIEREAS, in connection with this year’s observance of the first anniversary of the Kabisig People’s Movement, the Kabisig People’s Movement National Operations Center (KPMNOC) has proposed the celebration of the "Kabisig Housing Month” on July 1 to 31, 1991;

WITEREAS, to give meaning to the celebration, the HUDCC has lined-up various activities including the launching of housing programs and projects of the different agencies, awarding of lots to beneficiaries, dialogues/seminars with different originators and developers, and television interviews of housing officials on the National Shelter Program;

WHEREAS, to propagate the Kabisig spirit among our people and to continuously address their housing needs, the HUDCC has proposed the month of lily of every year as “Kabisig Housing Month;"

NOW, THEREFORE, [, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, »y virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of July, 1991 and every year thereafter, as “Kabisig Housing Month" under the auspices of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) and other agencies and organizations participating in the said celebration,
