MARCH 1. 1996 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE CITY OF MUNTINLlJPA WHERF.AS, the City Chartcr of Muntinlupa (Republic Act 7926) was passed and approved by the Congress and signed into law by the President of the Republic of the Philippines on March 1, 1995 and subsequently ratified in a plebiscite hcld in Muntinlupa on May 9, 1995; WHEREAS. the transfonnation and the birth of the new city speaks well of the. good intention and dedicated leadership of the 10(;&1 officials for their conltituents' well- being and continuing quest for excellence in lat&1 aovemance; WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of Muntinlupa City be given full opponW\ity to celebrate this event with appropriate ceremonies; , NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by vinue of the powers vested in me by Book It Chaptcr 7, Section 27 of the Administrative Code of 1987. do hereby declare Friday, March 1, 1996 as a special day in the City ofuntinlupa. .
