• MALACANANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO.77~ WHICH WAS DECLARING A STATE OF CALAMITY IN QUEZON ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY FIRE CITY, WHEREAS, the Secretary of National Defense as Chairmanof the National Disaster Coordinating Council recommends the declaration of a state of calamity in Quezon City in view of the fire that hit the Ozone Disco Pub on March 18, 1996, at 12 midnight; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare a state of calami.ty in Quezon City, for emergency needs, service restoration, comprehensive fire safety inspection, and other remedial measures to be madetherein. All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and re- habilitation work in accordance with existing operationalplans, directives and orders issued in connection withcalamities.
