PROCLAMATION NO. 772 DECLARING SEPTEMBER 7 TO 14, 1991 AS "PEACE TOYS WEEK"

WHEREAS, there is a need to continue the pursuit of peace education among the youth;

WHEREAS, the celebration of "Peace Toys Week" this year will again invite public awareness on the i11 effects of war toys to our youth;

WHEREAS, the successful observance of the event will require the support of both government and the peaple;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare September 7 to 14, 1991 as "Peace Toys Week" under the auspices of the National Federation of Women's Club of the Philippines.

I call upon all residents regardless of nationality, race or creed, the public and private sectors, institutions and organizations to lend the full support and assistance to ensure the successful and meaningful observance of “Peace Toys Week".
