MALA C AN ANfi MANn.A BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 808 DECLARING MONDAY, JUNE 24, 1996, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE CITY OF MANILA WHEREAS, every year the City of Manila celebrates June 24 as "Araw ng Maynila" in commemoration of the founding of the City as the premier Christian City of Asia; WHEREAS, the residents of Manila, conscious of the historical and cultural significanc~ of the event, desire to celebrate the same with appropriateceremorues; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Monday, June 24, 1996 as a special day in the City of Manila.
