BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 820

ESTABLISHING AS KABANKALAN WATERSHED FOREST RESERVE FOR PUR- POSES OF PROTECTING, MAINTAINING OR IMPROVING ITS WATER YIELD AND PROVIDING RESTRAINING MECHANISM FOR INAPPRO- PRIATE FOREST EXPLOITATION AND DISRUPTIVE LAND-USE A PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN LOCATED IN THE MUNI- CIPALITY OF KABANKALAN, PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, ISLAND OF NEGROS, PHILIPPINES

Upon recommendation of the secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, disposition or settlement and set asige as Kabankalan Watershed Forest Reserve, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to the operations of previous proclamations reserving any portion thereof for specific purposes, and to the implementation of socially- oriented projects and other forestry development programs con- Sistent with the objectives of the proclamation as may be determined by the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, a certain parcel of land of the public domain situated in the Municipality of Kabankalan, Province of Negros Occidental, as shown in the Forest Management Bureau Map No. WR 91 with the following descriptions:

Beginning at point "1" en the map is a stake which is identical to F.%. No. 121, Project No. 17-E, Block 1, A & D

and N 87°46! E, 5,754.40 meters from the junction of Hilabangan- Ilog River.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources shall administer and manage the reservation thru its Forest Manage- ment Bureau in coordination with other agencies of the govern- ment with the objective of maintaining its usefulness as source

of water for domestic, agriculture and industrial uses, and for other forestry purposes.
