DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN CERTAIN PROVINCES AND CITIES

IN REGIONS I, IL AND THE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE RBGION WHICH SUFFERED FROM THE EFFECTS OF 'TYPHOON "TRINING."

WHEREAS, super typhoon with cade name "Trining” wrought destruction in the country, particularly Northern Luzon;

WHEREAS, initial reports revealed that 15,222 families or 84,732 persons were affected, 7,628 houses were damaged, including agricultural

crops and infrastructure valued at #25, 171,675.00 and #5,800,000.00, res- pectively; and

WHEREAS, in order to cushion the adverse impact of the typhoon, the National Disaster Coordinating Council recommends the deciaration of a state of public calamity in the affected areas.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GORRAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare a state of public calamity in the following provinces and cities:

Kalinga-Apayao Pangasinan

Dagupan City

All departments and other government agencies concemed are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in

accordance with existing operational plans and the directive and order issued in connection with calamities.
