PROCLAMATION NO. 425

AUTHORIZING THE NATIONAL HISTORICAL INSTITUTE IN CONSONANCE WITH THE PRESIDENT MANUEL A. ROXAS CENTENNIAL YEAR TO

CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FROM DATE HEREOF UP TO DECEMBER 31, 1992

WHEREAS, the year 1992 marks the birth centenary of the late Manuel A. Roxas, the first President of the Republic of

the Philippines and one of the foremost leaders and statesmen of our people;

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 824, dated 30 October 1994-» declared the year 1992 as President Manuel A. Roxas Centennial Year in consonance with the decade on Filipino Nationalism and

designated the National Historical Institute to take chargé of the celebration;

WHEREAS, the National Historical Institute needs public

Support to enable it to discharge its functions relative to the centenary celebration;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the National Historical Institute to conduct

@ national fund campaign from date hereof up to December 31, 19:92. . x

For this purpose, all donations, bequests and Gifts re- ceived by the National Historical Institute for the implementa-— tion of its programs and activities shall be free from all forms of taxes and shall be deductible in full from the income of the donor for purposes of computing his income tax liability, subject to the pertinent provisions of Sections 94 (a) (3) and

(b) (2) and 29 (h) (2) (Cc) (i) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.
