DECLARING A S'TATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCES OF LEYTE Ann SOUSERN LEYTE, INCLUDING THE CTTLES OF ORMOC AND TACTLORAN, WHICH WERE DEVASTAtED BY ‘Tyrheon “uRInG"

WHEREAS, the provinces of Leyte aid] Southern Leyte, including the cities of Onnec and Tacloban, suffered loss of lives and exten- sive damage as a restilt of the onstanaht of typhoon "Uring"; anc

WIERFAS, ‘here is need to cushion the adverse impact of the

typhoon by declaring a state ef public calamity in the said prwinees and eities.

NOM, THEREFORE, 1, CORAZON C. AQULND, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare a state of public calamity in the provinces ef Layte and Seuthern Leyte, dnehi- ding the cities of Ormee and Taclobai.

Al! departments and other gove:um:! agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and exe-ite relief and rehabilitatlon work in arcordance with existing opersticnal plans and the directive and order issued in connection with calamities.
