DECHARING THE PERTON FROM NOVEMBER LO 1 16 OF EVERY YEAR AS “DEAFNESS AWARENESS WEEK"

WHEREAS, the deaf, a vital segment of spr society, can be transfonied into a significant force in the efforts for national develoament; and

WHEREAS, consistent with the foregoing, there is need to focus public awareness on deafness, its prevention and rehabilitation.

NOW, 'THERERPORE, 1, CORAZON (, AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare November 10 to 16 of every year as "Deafness Awareness Week" under the auspices of the Philippine Institute for the Beaf and Philippine School for the Deaf and other concerned organizations.

IN WEINESS WHEREOF, L have herounto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
