BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 831

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 18 TO 24, 1991, AS PURCHASING AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT WEEK

WHEREAS, the Purchasing and Materials Management Associa- tion of the Philippines, Inc. (PMMAP), is a non-stock, non- profit organization of purchasing and materials managers from several of the country's top corporations;

WHEREAS, this November, the PMMAP will celebrate its 24th Anniversary in Manila on the theme: “Effective Purchasing and Materials Management: A Competitive Edge";

WHEREAS, it is desirable that the important role played by the purchasing and materials managers in commerce and industry be brought to the attention of the people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 18 to 24, 1991, as Purchasing and Materials Management Week.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
