BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 836

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, 23 APRIL 2025, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PLARIDEL, PROVINCE OF BULACAN

WHEREAS, on 23 April 2025, Wednesday, the Municipality of Plaridel, Province of Bulacan will commemorate the “Battle of Quingua’”;

WHEREAS, the Battle of Quingua was fought on 23 April 1899 in Plaridel, Bulacan, wherein the Filipino forces were under the command of General Gregorio del Pilar, and was one of the most significant victories of the Filipinos in the Philippine- American war;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Plaridel be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;

NOW, THEREFORE, |, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare

Wednesday, 23 April 2025, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Plaridel, Province of Bulacan.
