BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 84

DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 31, 2001, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY IN THE CITY OF LIPA

WHEREAS, Friday, August 31, 2001, marks the 54" Foundation Day anniver- sary of the City of Lipa;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lipa be given full opportunity to celebrate this event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Friday, August 31, 2001, as a special non-working day in the City of Lipa.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
