BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 840 a

DECLARING FRIDAY, 29 AUGUST 2014, AS A SPECIAL (NON- WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF MANDAUE

WHEREAS, August 30 marks the*Charter Day anniversary of the City of Mandaue;

WHEREAS, to give the people of the City of Mandaue ample opportunity to celebrate the occasion, the Sangguniang Panlungsod requested that Friday, 29 August 2014 be declared as a special (non-working) day instead of 30 August 2014, which falls on a Saturday;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Mandaue be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, |, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO Iil, do. hereby declare Friday, 29 August 2014, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Mandaue.
