BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPFINES PROCLAMATION NO, 946

DECLARING DECEMBER 21-27, 1991 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS "NATIONAL AIDS AWARENESS WEEK"

WHEREAS , the 42nd World Health Assembly passed Resolution No, WHAA2, 23 noting the higher level of interest in maintaining World AIDS Day as annual focus of Giobal AIDS prevention and central activity, under the theme “AIDS — Sharing the Challenge";

WHEREAS, as medical science practitioners continue to search for a cure for the dreaded disease, there is an imperative need to pursue information dessimination

Cempaicn on the ill-effects of AIDS and its preventive measures;

NOW, THEREFORE, 1, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the Power vested in me by law, do hereby declare December 21-27, 1991, and every year thereafter, as "National AIDS Awareness Week" under the auspices of the Department of Health,

I call ‘upon all residents, regardless of race or creed, the public and private sectors, institutions and organizations ts lend their full support and assistance to

make the observance of “National AIDS Awareness Week" meaningful and a success,

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and
