, '- MALACANAN« Manila wrJ.e.4 I BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO 846 DECLARiNG FRIDAY, AUGUST 30 Sl:..N JUAN, METRO MANILA 1996/ AS A SPECIAL DAY IN WHEREAS, the lOOth anniversary of the "Battle ofPinaglabanan", an important event in our struggle for freedom,.. falls on August 30, 1996; WHEREAS, said historical event is of special significance to the residents of San Juan, MetroManila, here it took place; WHEREAS, the people of San Juan should be afforded arJ. opportunity to celebrate the occason with fittingceremonies; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administra- tive Code of 1987, do hereby declare Friday, August 30, 1996, as a special day in San Juan, Metro Manila.
