PROCLAMATION NO. #h4

AUTHORIZING ANEW THE HEART FOUNDATION OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR

WHEREAS, the Heart Foundation of the Philippines was authorized under Proclamation No. 538, dated March 13, 1990 to conduct a national educational, membership and fund campaign from March 19, 1990 to March 19, 1991;

WHEREAS, the humanitarian campaign of the Heart Foundation ef the Philippines merits continued support to enable the Poundation to service a greater number of the poor and under-

privileged who are suffering from heart disease and related ailments;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize anew the Heart Foundation of the Philippines to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.

For this purpose, all donations, bequests and gifts re- ceived by the Heart Foundation of the Philippines for the implementation of its programs and activities shall be free from all forms of taxes and shall be deductible in full from the income of the donor for the purposes of computing his in- come tax liability, subject to the pertinent provisions of Sections 94 (a) (3) and (b) (2) and 29 (h) (2) (c) (i) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.
