BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 885

FURTHER EXTENDING THE NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN PERIOD OF THE UNITED WAY PHILIPPINES, INC., UP TO MARCH 31, 1993

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 717, dated April 22, 1991, extended the“authority of the United Way Philippines, Inc. to conduct a national fund campaign up to March 31, 1992;

WHEREAS, the United Way Philippines, Inc., needs addi- tional time to raise more funds for its laudable objectives;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend the national fund campaign period of the United Way Philippines, Inc., up to March 31, 1993;

. For this purpose, all donations, bequests and gifts re-

‘ceived by the United Way Philippines, Inc. for the implementa- tion of its programs and activities shall be free from all forms of taxes and shall be deductible in full from the in- come of the donor for purposes of computing his income tax liability, subject to the pertinent provisions of Sections* 94 (a) (3) and (b) (2) and 29 (h) (2) (C) (i) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
