BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 891

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 28 TO 30, 2005, AS “PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Production Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP), a non-partisan and non-stock organization was establisned to promote industrial development through better and more efficient management of the production systems;

WHEREAS, PROMAP will be holding the 18" National Convention to be held at the New World Renaissance Hotel, Pasay Road, Makati City on September 29 to 30, 2005;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the important role production executives play in the development of the economy as well as in the manufacturing sector.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 28 to 30, 2005, as “Production Management Week” under the auspices of the Production Management Association of the Philippines.
