PROCLAMATION NO. 893

" DECLARING FRIDAY, APRIL 24, 1992, AS CORDILLERA ADMINISTRA- TIVE REGION- DAY

WHEREAS, Friday, April 24, 1992, marks the grant ofa special region for the Cordilleras;

WHEREAS, the people of the Cordillera Autonomous Region should be given the opportunity to celebrate the day with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, April 24, 1992, as Cordillera Administrative Region Day. The day, however, shall be a regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and

caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
