BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 204

DECLARING THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER OF EVERY YEAR AS “CIVIL ENGINEERING MONTH”

WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE), an organization composed of more than 74,000 registered civil engineer-members in 96 chapters and some 39,668 civil engineering student-members in 181 student chapters throughout the Philippines, requests for a Proclamation declaring November of every year as “Civil Engineering Month;” and

WHEREAS, the Professional Regulation Commission endorses the celebration of a “Civil Engineering Month” to bring to the attention and consciousness of the Filipino people the importance of civil engineers in nation building.

NOW, THEREFORE, |, BENIGNO S. AQUINO Ill, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of November as “Civil Engineering Month.”

All civil engineers and students are called upon to give the observance of the “Civil Engineering Month” their full support.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
