BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 928 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 14 TO 20, 2005 AS "CIVIL ENGINEERING WEEK" .WHEREAS, the government recognizes the important role of civil engineers in nation-building; WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE), will hold its national convention and annual elction on November 7 to 19, 2005 at the Manila Hotel; Manila; WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the importance of the civif engineering profession and highlight its role- in nation-building. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYOi President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby dedarethe period from November 14 to 20, 2005 as "Civil Engineering Week"under the auspices of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. I call upon a1.1 civil engineers and students to give the. obseance of the week their full support.
