BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 96 ~

DECLARING A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND, KNOWN AS THE PAROLA ESTATE, UNDER THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE PHILIPPINE PORTS AUTHORITY (PPA) SITUATED IN BARANGAY 20, DISTRICT 1, TONDO, CITY OF MANILA, OPEN FOR DISPOSITION TO THE ACTUAL OCCUPANTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH REPUBLIC ACT NO. 730, INRELATION TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE PUBLIC LAND ACT, (COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 141), AS AMENDED

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL- ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare a certain parcel of land, known as the Parola Estate, under the administration of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) situated in Barangay 20, District 1, Tondo, City of Manila, open for disposition to the actual occupants, in accordance with Republic Act No. 730, in relation to the provisions of the Public Land Act, Commonwealth Act No. 141, as amended, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to actual future survey. The specific portions herein reserved comprising an area of 96,806.85 square meters, more or less, are delimited as follows:

Bounded on the South by MICT South Access Road ° (Claro M. Recto Extension); on the West by Manila International Container Terminal (MICT); on the North by Container Storage Area and partly by North Harbor Slip-O Access Road; and on the East by Ocean Link Container Terminal Center, Inc., containing an approximate area of 96,806.85 square meters.

Such part or parts of the area herein declared open for disposition under R.A. 730, in relation to the provisions of the Public Land Act, as amended, which are being used or earmarked for public or quasi-public purposes shall be excluded from such disposition. Existing roads or proposed roads within the area shall conform with the provisions of Executive Order No. 113, series of 1995.

The boundary of the subject area is subject to final survey.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources, National Capital Region shall conduct or supervise the actual boundary survey and subdivision survey of the proclaimed area. In the execution of the subdivision survey of the proclaimed area, open spaces for parks, playgrounds, barangay hall, school site and sufficient roads and alleys for the convenience of the residents thereat shall be strictly provided.
