BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 996

DECLARING TUESDAY, 5 MAY 2015, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF SANTIAGO

WHEREAS, under Republic Act No. 7720, the Municipality of Santiago was converted into an independent component city on 5 May 1994;

WHEREAS, Tuesday, 5 May 2015, marks the celebration of the cityhood anniversary of the City of Santiago;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Santiago be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENtGNO S. AQUINO Ill, do hereby declare Tuesday, 5 May 2015, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Santiago.
