[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11277, April 12, 2019 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE GUIMARAS LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE (LTO) EXTENSION OFFICE INTO A REGULAR LTO DISTRICT OFFICE

<span lang="en-US">Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:</span>

</div> <div align="justify"> </div> <div align="justify">

SECTION 1*.* This Act shall be known as the "Act Converting the Guimaras Land transportation Office (LTO) Extension Office Into a Regular LTO District Office".

SEC. 2. The existing Guimaras LTO Extension Office of hereby converted into a regular LTO District Office.

SEC. 3. For this purposes, the Secretary of the Department of Transportation shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the regular LTO District Office in the Province of Guimaras, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the extension office located in the Province of Guimaras. Thereafter, such sums may be necessary for the continued operation of the new Guimaras LTO District Office shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following its publication in two (20 newspapers of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Philippines on August 14, 2018 and February 6, 2019, respectively.
