Republic Act No. 11813

AN ACT RENAMING THE MUNICIPALITY OF LISTA IN THE PROVINCE OF IFUGAO AS THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALFONSO LISTA

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Municipality of Lista in the Province of Ifugao is hereby renamed as Alfonso Lista.

Section 2. The renaming of the Municipality of Lista shall be effective upon ratification of the majority of the votes cast by qualified voters in a plebiscite to be conducted and supervised by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in the present Municipality of Lista.

The expenses for such plebiscite shall be borne by the Municipality of Lista, Province of Ifugao.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was passed by the House of Representatives on August 3, 2021, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on January 31, 2022, and which amendments was concurred in by the House of Representatives on February 2, 2022.
