Republic Act No. 12125

AN ACT CONVERTING THE SINDANGAN EXTENSION OFFICE OF THE LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE (LTO) LOCATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SINDANGAN, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE, INTO A REGULAR DISTRICT OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The existing Land Transportation Office (LTO) Extenson Office in Sindangan, Province of Zamboanga del Norte, is hereby converted into a regular district office.

Section 2. The Secretary of the Department of Transportation shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the abovementioned regular district office in the Second District of Zamboanga del Norte, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Extension Office located in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte. Thereafter, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Philippines on September 18, 2023 and December 17, 2024, respectively.
