AN ACT CONVERTING THE LAS PIÑAS LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE (LTO) LICENSING EXTENSION OFFICE INTO A REGULAR LTO LICENSING CENTER AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Licensing Extension Office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) located in Las Piñas City is hereby converted into a regular licensing center to be known as the Las Piñas City LTO Licensing Center.

Section 2. The Secretary of the Department of Transportation shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Las Piñas City LTO Licensing Center, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current year's appropriation of the Las Piñas LTO Licensing Extension Office. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for the continued operation of the Las Piñas City LTO Licensing Office shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Philippines on May 29, 2023 and December 17, 2024, respectively.
