AN ACT UPGRADING THE LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE (LTO) DAPA DISTRICT OFFICE INTO A CLASS "C" LTO DISTRICT OFFICE, RENAMING THE SAME AS SIARGAO LTO DISTRICT OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The existing Land Transportation Office (LTO) district office in the Municipality of Dapa, Province of Siargao del Norte (LTO Dapa District Office) is hereby upgraded into a Class "C" LTO District Office and renamed as Siargao LTO District Office.

Section 2. The Secretary of Transportation shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Siargao LTO District Office in the First District of the Province of Surigao del Norte, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current year's appropriation of the LTO Dapa District Office.

Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the continued operation of the Siargao LTO District Office shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives on August 9, 2023, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on December 18, 2024, and which amendments were concurred in by the House of Representatives on January 21, 2025.
