Republic Act No. 12223

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY KASANYANGA, ZAMBOANGA CITY TO BE KNOWN AS THE KASANYANGA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. There is hereby established, under the supervision of the Department of Education, a national high school in Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga city to be known as the Kasanyangan National High School.

Section 2. The Secretary of Education shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Kasanayangan National High School, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 3. Within ninety (90) days from the approval of this Act, the Secretary of Education shall formulate the rules and regulations implementing the provisions of this Act.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Philippines on September 24, 2024 and January 27, 2025, respectively.
