Republic Act No. 12247

AN ACT DECLARING SEPTEMBER 18 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BANSALAN, PROVINCE OF DAVAO DEL SUR, IN COMMEMORATION OF ITS FOUNDATION ANNIVERSARY

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. September 18 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the Municipality of Bansalan, Province of Davao del Sur, in commemoration of its foundation anniversary. However, upon proclamation of the President, September 18 of every year shall be a special non-working holiday in the Municipality of Bansalan, Province of Davao del Norte.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act, which originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House of Representatives on November 21, 2022, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on June 3, 2025, and which amendments were concurred in by the House of Representatives on June 10, 2025.
