RA 1883 - An Act Appropriating Funds as Compensation to the Widows and/or Legitimate Children of Government Officers and Employees in the Executive Department Who Died in the Air Crashes in the Province of Cebu and at Iligan Bay

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1
The widows and/or legitimate children of every officer or employee of the Government in the Executive Department who died as a result of the air crash in the Province of Cebu on March seventeen, nineteen hundred and fifty-seven, and the air crash at Iligan Bay on October three, nineteen hundred and fifty-six, shall be granted compensation equivalent to the salary for two years of their deceased husbands and/or legitimate fathers, the same not to be subject to attachment, levy, execution or any tax whatsoever.
Section 2
Such sum as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act is appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
Section 3
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
