RA 220 - An Act Authorizing the Municipality of Tabaco, Province of Albay, to Acquire Such Land or Lands Necessary for the Establishment of a Workmen's Barrio in Said Municipality and for Other Purposes
Republic Act No. 220
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:
Section 1
The municipality of Tabaco, Province of Albay, is hereby authorized, with the consent of the Secretary of the Interior first had, to acquire by expropriation, proceedings or private sale, such land or lands as it may acquire for the establishment of a workmen’s barrio in said municipality.
Section 2
The municipality of Tabaco is likewise authorized, subject to such rules and regulations which the Secretary of the Interior shall promulgate, to construct adequate housing facilities which the municipality shall lease or sell, together with their corresponding lots, on installments for a period not exceeding ten years, to deserving workmen or laborers of said municipality, for such moderate or reasonable terms or consideration as the said official may determine.
Section 3
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
