Republic Act No. 2697

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1

There is hereby created a department under the Office of the Auditor General, General Auditing Office, to be known as the Program Audit Department, with the following positions and appropriation for its operation:

I. Personal Services

A. For new positions:
One chief supervising auditor at P7,236 per annum	₱7,236.00
Two supervising auditors at ₱6,552 per annum	13,104.00
Two auditors IV at ₱5,928 per annum	11,856.00
Seven auditors III at P5,112 per annum	35,784.00
Four auditors III at ₱4,800 per annum	19,200.00
Two auditors II at ₱4,404 per annum	8,808.00
Two auditors II at ₱3,960 per annum	7,920.00
Six Auditing Examiners II at ₱2,760 per annum	16,560.00
Eight auditing examiners I at ₱2,400 per annum	19,200.00
Two stenographers at ₱1,800 per annum	3,600.00
Two clerical aides at ₱1,440 per annum	2,880.00

B. For adjustment of salaries of key personnel to make them conform with salaries of other officials of equal rank in the General Auditing Office

II. Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses

Commutable transportation allowance of manager (similar to that given to other managers of the General Auditing Office)	1,200.00

Section 2

There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the amount of one hundred eighty-eight thousand,  six hundred fifty pesos and forty centavos for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-one.  The corresponding appropriation for the succeeding fiscal years shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 3

This Act shall take effect on July 1, 1960.
