RA 3372 - An Act Creating the Municipal District of Jumalig in the Province of Quezon

Republic Act No. 3372

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1

The barrios of Talisoy, Gango, Casuguran and Bucal comprising Jumalig Island are separated from the Municipality of Polillo, Province of Quezon, and are constituted into a district and independent municipal district, to be known as the Municipal District of Jumalig, with the barrio of Talisoy as the seat of its municipal government.

Section 2

The first mayor, vice-mayor and councilors of the Municipal District of Jumalig shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments and shall hold office until their successors shall have been duly elected.

Section 3

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
