Republic Act No. 3408

An Act Amending Republic Act Numbered Seven Hundred Ninety-Nine, Entitled "An Act Converting the Zambales Trade School to a National School of Arts and Trades, to be Known as Western Luzon School of Arts and Trades, and Authorizing the Appropriations of Funds Therefor"

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. Sections one and two of Republic Act Numbered Seven hundred ninety-nine are amended to read as follows:

"Sec. 1. The Western Luzon School of Arts and Trades, located in the Municipality of Iba, Province of Zambales, is hereby renamed Ramon Magsaysay Memorial School of Arts and Trades, and shall be of the La Union School of Arts and Trades type.

"Sec. 2. The sum of three hundred thousand pesos is authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the Ramon Magsaysay Memorial School of Arts and Trades during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-one.

Section 2. The title of the same Act is amended to read as follows: "An Act renaming the Western Luzon School of Arts and Trades to Ramon Magsaysay Memorial School of Arts and Trades, and authorizing the appropriation of funds therefor."

Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
