Republic Act No. 4204

An Act Providing for a Proper Compilation of Statistics on Diseases, Further Amending for the Purpose Section Two of Republic Act Numbered One Thousand Eighty-Two, as Amended

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. Section two of Republic Act Numbered One thousand eighty-two, as amended, is further amended by adding thereto a new subsection to read as follows:

"(d) There shall be in each regional office of the Department of Health a regional epidemiologist and a statistician who shall be charged with the duties of compiling and evaluating statistics on disease intelligence.

"No person shall be appointed epidemiologist or statistician unless he is a holder of a bachelor’s degree conferred by a reputable school, college or university and has had at least two years experience in elementary statistical methods."

Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
