Republic Act No. 4739

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1

Barrios Kaleo and Kadaclan (Chupac) in the Municipality of Natonin, Mountain Province, are separated from said municipality, and are transferred to and made part of the Municipality of Barlig, same province.

Section 2

Upon the approval of this Act, the Municipal District of Barlig is hereby converted into a regular municipality.

Section 3

The additional councilors of the Municipality of Barlig shall be appointed by the President and shall hold office until their successors shall have been elected in the next election for local officials and shall have qualified: Provided, That the incumbent elective municipal councilors of the mother municipality who are residents of the barrios transferred shall continue to serve as such in the Municipality of Barlig until the expiration of their terms of office. All additional officers and employees of said municipality shall be appointed as provided by law.

Section 4

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
