Republic Act No. 4823

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1

Section fourteen of Republic Act Numbered Thirty-six hundred eighty is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Sec. 14. For the operation and maintenance of one laboratory ship and for procuring and maintaining one training ship from the reparations from Japan, the sum of five hundred thousand pesos is hereby appropriated from any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-six to nineteen hundred sixty-seven. Thereafter, the amount necessary for the maintenance and operation of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy, including its ships, shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act."

Section 2

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
