Republic Act No. 5049

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1

Section one of Republic Act Numbered Forty-one hundred fifty-one is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:

"The position mentioned in the foregoing subparagraph (j) shall include the following positions:

"1) Supervising educational specialist I, as equivalent to superintendent I, ₱9,288 per annum;

"2) Supervising curriculum coordinator I, as equivalent to superintendent I, ₱9,288 per annum.

"3) Private schools special consultant, as equivalent to superintendent I, ₱9,288 per annum;

"4) Teacher education specialist I, as equivalent to superintendent I, ₱9,288 per annum;

"5) Educational planning analyst, as equivalent to superintendent I, ₱9,288 per annum;

"6) Supervising educational specialist II, as equivalent to superintendent I, ₱10,240 per annum;

"7) Education executive assistant, as equivalent to superintendent II, ₱10,240 per annum;

"8) Teacher education specialist II, as equivalent to superintendent III, ₱12,516 per annum;

In the Board of National Education, the Board Secretary shall be classified as administrative officer V, ₱11,328 per annum, and the chief educational planning analyst and the assistant chief educational planning analyst be classified as equivalent to superintendent III, with the rank of chief of division, ₱12,516 per annum and assistant chief of division, ₱11,904 per annum, respectively.

In the office of the Secretary, the chief legal officer, the personnel officer IV and the chief educational supervisor I of the technical and advisory staff of the Secretary of Education shall be classified as equivalent to superintendent III, ₱12,516 per annum.

The term "chief of division and assistant chief of division" shall include all officials holding such positions, whether in the promotional, in the administrative or in the service divisions.

Section 2

Such sums as are necessary to implement this Act for the current and previous fiscal years are hereby appropriated from the savings of the Bureaus and offices mentioned in Section one of Republic Act Numbered Forty-one hundred and fifty-one.

Section 3

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
