Republic Act No. 5960

Section 1

The barrios and sitios of Bagumbayan, Bai Sirafinang, Biwang, Busok, Chrismor, Damaslot, Dawing, Kambad, Kanakan, Kapaya, Keposo, Kibongkog, Kinayao, Ladasino, Lanao, Languan, Lawa, Malalas, Malingaon, Malay, Mamison, Mapayag, Marbel, Masiag, Muno, Natubak, Payaguntong, Pangolan, Salatan, Sipaka, Siop and Tuka in the Municipality of Isulan, Province of Cotabato, are separated from the municipality, and constituted into a distinct and independent municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Bagumbayan, same province. The seat of government of the new municipality shall be in the present site of the barrio of Bagumbayan.

The proposed boundary of the new Municipality of Bagumbayan is particularly defined as follows:

"Beginning at the point of intersection of Panas Creek and Allah River, a line following the upstream course of Panas Creek on a southwest direction up to the intersection of Panas Creek and the northwestern corner of Lot 2146 of Pls-208-D-17, thence following the lot boundary between Lots 2146 and 2145. Pls-208-D-17, thence following the common boundary between Lots 2149 and 2150 of Pls-208-D-17, thence following the Homestead Road on a westerly direction up to the eastern corner of Lot 2152, Pls-208-D-17, thence following the common boundary between Lots 2132 and 2133, Pls-208-D-17, up to the northeastern corner of Lot 2132, Pls-208-D-17, thence following the common project boundaries of Pls-208-D-17, GSS-214 and Pls-397-D-Case 1, thence following the western project boundary of Pls-208-D-17, thence a straight line southwestward to Pangolan Creek, thence following the upstream course of Pangolan Creek up to its intersection with Salatan Creek; thence following the downward course of Salatan Creek up to the junction with Kabulonan River; thence a straight line westward where the boundaries of the municipalities of Lebak, Kalamansig and Isulan meet; thence southward following the boundary of Isulan and Kalamansig to a point of the boundary line of Pls-604-D, thence going southeast direction until it reaches the corner of Pls-604-D; distance 4.0 kilometers (more or less); thence following the boundary line of Pls-04-D south direction until it reaches Kulaman River, a distance of 16.2 kilometers (more or less); thence following the upstream course of Kulaman River, until it reaches the boundary line of Surala and Isulan municipalities, distance 4.5 kilometers (more or less); thence following the common boundary lines of the Municipalities of Isulan and Surala on eastward direction to a point of Malay Creek; thence following the downstream course of Malay Creek towards its intersection at Allah River, thence, following the northward course of Allah River to the junction with Panas Creek, the point of beginning."

Section 2

The Municipality of Bagumbayan shall acquire corporate existence upon the election and qualification of the first mayor, vice-mayor and councilors in a special election to be called for the purpose in November, nineteen hundred sixty-nine.

Section 3

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
