RA 6088 - An Act Amending Sections Twenty-Five and Twenty-Six of Republic Act Numbered One Hundred Eighty-Three, Otherwise Known as the Charter of Pasay City, as Amended

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1

The first paragraph of Section twenty-five of Republic Act Numbered One hundred eighty-three, as amended, is further amended to read as follows:

"Section 25. The City Fiscal—His powers and duties.— There shall be a City Fiscal who shall be the chief of the Law Department of the city, a first assistant city fiscal who shall be assistant chief, a second assistant city fiscal, three third assistant city fiscals, four fourth assistant city fiscals, five fifth assistant city fiscals and five sixth assistant city fiscals, who shall discharge their duties under the general supervision of the Secretary of Justice. The City Fiscal shall be the chief legal adviser of the city and all offices and department thereof. He shall have the following powers and duties:"

Section 2

Section twenty-six of the same Act, as amended, is further amended to read as follows:

"Section 26. Compensation of City Fiscal and his assistants.

"The City Fiscal and his assistants shall receive the salaries hereinafter set forth, which shall be paid by Pasay City:

"(a) The city fiscal, an annual compensation which shall be equal to that allowed or may hereafter be allowed for Judges of the Court of First Instance;

"(b) First assistant city fiscal, at eighteen thousand pesos per annum;

"(c) Second assistant city fiscal, at seventeen thousand four hundred pesos per annum;

"(d) Three third assistant city fiscals, at sixteen thousand eight hundred pesos per annum; each;

"(e) Four fourth assistant city fiscals, at sixteen thousand two hundred pesos per annum; each;

"(f) Five fifth assistant city fiscals, at fifteen thousand six hundred pesos per annum;each;

"(g) Five sixth assistant city fiscals, at fifteen thousand pesos per annum; each."

Section 3

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
