RA 6641 - An Act Allowing Qualified Voters of the City of Mandaue to Vote in Provincial Elections of the Province of Cebu, Amending for the Purpose Republic Act Numbered Fifty-Five Hundred and Nineteen

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
The first paragraph of Section Ninety-six of Republic Act Numbered Fifty-five hundred and nineteen, entitled "An Act Creating the City of Mandaue," is amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 96. Participation of voters in provincial election. — The qualified voters in the city shall be entitled to vote in any election for the offices of the provincial governor, vice-governor, and members of the provincial board of the Province of Cebu, and any of such qualified voters can be a candidate for any provincial office."
Section 2
All existing laws or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
Section 3
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
