RA 6726 - An Act Allowing Qualified Voters of the City of Oroquieta to Vote in Provincial Elections of the Province of Misamis Occidental, amending for the purpose Republic Act Numbered Fifty-Five Hundred and Eighteen
Republic Act No. 6726
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
Section One hundred five of Republic Act Numbered Fifty-five hundred and eighteen, entitled "An Act Creating the City of Oroquieta," is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 105. Participation in election of provincial officials. - The voters of the City of Oroquieta shall be qualified and entitled to vote in the election of provincial governor, provincial vice-governor, and members of the provincial board of the Province of Misamis Occidental, and any of such qualified voters can be a candidate for any provincial office."
Section 2
All existing laws or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
Section 3
This Act shall take effect upon its publication in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation.
