Republic Act No. 7685
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1
The City of Davao was created by virtue of Commonwealth Act No. 51 which took effect on March 16, 1936.
Section 2
March 16 of every year is hereby declared as a special nonworking public holiday in the City of Davao, to be known as the "Araw ng Dabaw."
Section 3
This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
Approved, February 23, 1994.
