Republic Act No. 8801

AN ACT DECLARING THE 19TH OF MAY OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF BUTUAN

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. May 19 of every year is hereby declared as a special working holiday in the City of Butuan, in recognition and commemoration of the annual fiesta of the City of Butuan.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on August 17, 1999 and May 29, 2000,  respectively.
