Republic Act No. 8872

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1

The Pingad National High School - Namatec Annex in Barangay Namatec, Municipality of Sabangan, Mountain Province is hereby separated from the Pingad National High School in the Municipality of Sabangan, Mountain Province and converted into an independent national high school to be known as the Namatec National High School.

Section 2

The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such orders, rules and circulars as may be necessary for the implementation of this Act.

Section 3

All personnel, records, assets and liabilities of the Pingad National High School - Namatec Annex are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Namatec National High School.

Section 4

The amount necessary for the initial implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Pingad National High School - Namatec Annex. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the continuous operation and maintenance of the Namatec National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 5

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on august 18, 1999 and May 22, 2000,  respectively.
