Republic Act No. 8880

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY TUBURAN, MUNICIPALITY OF POTOTAN, PROVINCE OF ILOILO, TO BE NAMED AS THE JOSE FACULTAD MEMORIAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. There is hereby established a national high school in Barangay Tuburan, Pototan, Iloilo, to be named as the Jose Facultad Memorial National High School.

Section 2. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby directed to take such measures as are necessary to establish the Jose Facultad Memorial National High School.

Section 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on December 8, 1999 and May 22, 2000,  respectively.
