Republic Act No. 9120

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1

The land comprising the whole island known as Ramesamey/Cowrie Island situated in the City of Puerto Princesa, Province of Palawan is hereby reclassified from timberland to that of alienable and disposable land which is particularly described as follows:

Beginning at a point marked "1" being N 09-18 E 11,123.29 M. from BLLM No.1, Cad-800-D Puerto Princesa City Cadastre, Palawan, thence N 51-39 W 87.19 M to point 2; N 14-43 E 13.90 M to point 3; N 66-07 E 14.68 M to point 4; N 88-26 E 105.78 M to point 5; S 71-25 E 86.06 to point 6; S 61-60 E 64.55 M to point 7; S 45-14 E 98.70 M to point 8; S 66-51E 50.99 to point 9; S 60-37 W 80.01 M to point 10; S 78-50 W 43-61M to point 11; N 69-41W 64.45 to point 12; N 54-53 W 167.35 M to point of beginning.

Containing an area of thirty-four thousand five hundred seventy-two (34,572) square meters.

Section 2

The Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources shall issue all the necessary orders, rules and circulars to implement the provisions of this Act.

Section 3

This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which is a consolidation of House Bill No. 12238 and Senate Bill No. 2161 was finally passed by the House of Representatives and Senate on February 8, 2001 and February 5, 2001, respectively.
